VGCF, SCMG
SDX Carbon Coated Foil
Lithium Ion Battery Materials
SCMG (Structure Controlled Micro Graphite): Anode materials
SCMG is an anode material for Li ion secondary batteries produced by a proprietary technology involving the manufacturing of artificial pulverized graphite (thermal treatment, grinding, and classification). Consistent quality and supply achieved through graphitization using readily-available raw materials in Showa Dcnko's own plant.
Features
- Artificial graphite material
- High current charge/discharge characteristics
- High cycle characteristics
- Good cost-performance
VGCF (Vapor Grown Carbon Fiber): Additive in anode/cathode
VGCF is a highly crystalline carbon nanofiber synthesized by the gas phase method. It exhibits excellent electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. Because the average diameter of the fiber is as small as 150nm, the material performs very well as an electrically and thermally conductive filler. The material is chemically stable.
Applications
- Batteries
- Li ion secondary battery
- Capacitor
- Fuel cell, etc
SDX : Carbon Coated Aluminum/ Copper Foils
SDXr'Ys produced by coating plain aluminum foils with carbon that reduce electrical resistance of Li ion secondary battery electrodes. Thin layer (approximately lim thickness) of conductive carbon is coated on aluminum foils for cathode or copper foils for anode electrode.
Features
- Reducing contact resistance between a cathode material and a collector by approximately 50%
- Improving quick charge/discharge performance
- Improving adhesion to aluminum foils
